Azaleas in Savannah - Cindy Rippe 2012 |
The Azaleas are blooming in Savannah. I enjoyed their abundant flowers and the
flourishing public garden squares yesterday while on a trolley tour through the city. It was a last minute decision that turned out to be the perfect break on our journey to Florida and I hope to return some day when I have more time to explore.
Garden Square - Savannah - Cindy Rippe |
The majestic oak trees, with their arms reaching wide, surrounded the garden and connected nature's long history to the stories (as told by our tour driver) of the early inhabitants of the city. They provide a shaded place to rest in the garden. What beautiful gifts we've been given!
God writes the gospel not in the Bible alone, but on trees and flowers and clouds and stars. ~Author unknown, commonly attributed to Martin Luther
