I had a long talk with a friend last night. I've been really struggling with focus and decision making. At times during the conversation, as I admitted the struggles that I'm dealing with, I felt like maybe I was going a little crazy! The main thing that I realized though is that I'm not alone. She struggles through different, yet just as stressful, issues and we know that it's a part of the personality of an artist. I am so grateful for her friendship and the connection that we have. One thing I know for sure is that I'm going through some sort of transition in my life. Could be age, could be the things I've been dealing with for many years, or it could be spiritual or artistic growth? Whatever it is I am certain that I'm ready for a change. Now...........if I could just focus on what that change should be!
She asked about my Amaryllis plants this year and I was telling her that I currently have 5 in different stages of growth. (Mmmm? Notice a parallel here??) I explained how interesting and different they were every day. Maybe instead of stressing about the changes that are coming I should look at them as interesting. Wish me luck with that! The one thing that is constant for me though is my faith and I know there is some sort of plan in mind through all of this.
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen. 2 Peter 3:18
I LOVE your analogy of growth phases. I think our lives are on a continual growth phase and occasionally we cycle back through one that needs replanting and reseeding. :-) Prayers lifted for you every day, Cindy!
ReplyDeleteThank you Von! Prayers for you as well.
DeleteSo glad you stopped by my blog. That's how I found yours! I'm a new follower.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great post. We all struggle in our own way, no matter what stage of life we are in. I'm now in retirement and even at this age, things change, how you feel about things, etc. It's good to know that God is with us and has plans for us to prosper. I really enjoyed your post.
